John Walsom
b. 1956
Although a professional artist since 1991, John Walsom originally worked as an architect. As well as starting his career selling paintings from the railings of Bayswater Park, and working as a scenic artist for live theatre, he has undertaken many commissions for patrons such as the University of Cambridge, Oxford University Press, The Royal Bank of Scotland, Eton College and the National Liberal Club. One of his recent exhibitions was entitled "A View of London" at the London Transport Museum, Covent Garden and he has exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Show. He also finds time to play guitar in the Marshall Taylor Band.
